Ride Of The Week 10/16/2023: Dave and Sheri Saltsman's 1968 GTO

THE GOAT WITH THE G.O.A.T.

Ravenna, OH’s Octane nights had a little bit of everything. Rat Rods, Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, 4x4s, Kit cars and muscle cars. Even a goat. An actual “baa” goat and its ride to the show, a 1968 GTO.

Dave and Sheri Saltsman of Edinburg, OH own both the car and the animal, Lyndy. She’s one of three goats they have as pets. As for the G.O.A.T. it was recently completed after a 3-month refresh on.

It had Isky Cam and Heads along with an Edelbrock carb added to the 400 ci block. It received new quarter panels and a paint job before they bought it out of Seattle, but the prep-work was less than ideal. So, it received a new paint job in Saab Cosmic Blue Mica.

However the best accessory, by far, is Lyndy, who was a hit with everyone who passed by the car as it was parked along Main Street in Ravenna for Octane nights.
