A TRIBUTE TO PAP
This Korean War Era Jeep caught my eye at a car show in Mentor, OH. It is a tribute to Dan Fracci’s Grandfather, Tom. Tom Fracci was a WWII veteran who served in the European theater and fought with the 2nd Armored Division during the Battle of the Bulge.
Tom bought the Jeep from his brother who had acquired it from an Army Surplus dealer in Arizona. “You don’t often see the Korean War era Jeeps represented,” Dan tells me. He learned to drive on the 3-speed manual and has honored his grandfather by showing it at a handful of shows a year in the 5 years of his stewardship. The vehicle’s livery includes his grandfather’s Army Serial Number, stenciled on the hood.
