Our boards are designed by car people so we go the extra mile to ensure accuracy in documenting your features and modifications. We only print our designs on high quality materials that make every display look like it belongs on the show floor at an indoor Autorama or the SEMA show. So whether you're a custom builder needing a design for a big event like Grand National Roadster Show, Goodguys, SEMA, or the Muscle Car And Corvette Nationals, or simply an enthusiast who wants to share the story of their ride at the weekend car show or Saturday night cruise-in, Car Show Life can create a unique display tailored to the personality of the car and its owner. Read below to understand the order process FIRST, PICK YOUR DESIGN LEVEL Each show board is custom made-to-order. We try not to do the same design twice, unless you choose something we've already done before (a.k.a. "I'll have what she's having!") Select your design level by choosing from BASIC (1-3 pics and bullet point info), DETAILED (more info and pics), THEMED (A theme derived from the car's nickname or based on the design of the car itself. For example, the colors and striping of an anniversary or pace car edition, the custom shape of the hood, a period print ad, a movie poster or magazine cover), OR RENDERED (a customized photo of your ride made to look like a concept illustration). SELECT YOUR SIZE AND CUT Our STANDARD SIZE is 12"x18" and STANDARD CUT is a rounded rectangle, so all prices will reflect that combination. You can choose to go down to 8"x10" or up to 18"x24". We also offer off menu sizes up to 30"x40" upon request. For cuts, our upgrades include DELUXE (a custom shape like an oval or a hood pattern or custom cut out like the silhouette of the car cut off the top) PREMIUM (3D Layers) or ULTRA-PREMIUM (combination of custom cut and 3D Layers). CUSTOM ADD-ONS and OTHER OPTIONS Our PREMIUM and ULTRA-PREMIUM cuts have an LED Light option to have your hero shot illuminated with an edge light effect or translucent glow. You can have Custom Logo created that's based on the car's nickname And pick from any of our stand options including our Car Show Life Wedge and Car Show Clamp as well as 3 different 20" stall floor stands. SUBMITTING YOUR PHOTOS You'll need to upload at least one photo to complete your order. Photos should be high-resolution and come from the source camera (download from social media, text or photos of photos are not recommended as they have been compressed and lack the resolution necessary for high print quality). Resolution should be at least 2000 pixels in either dimension and a file size of over 1mb for the best print result. Vehicle photos will be used as "Hero" shots so the car should be closed up (hood/trunk down, doors closed) to show the lines of the car as you'll most likely display it opened up) We recommend submitting front view, rear view, 3-quarter front view and side profile shots for editing options regardless of the limits set by the design level. Pictures taken on a overcast day are also preferred as the shadows and "hot spots" will be minimized. Also be aware of the surroundings. Cars photographed on grass will be difficult to cut out of the background with blades of grass coming up in front of the tires and green reflections on the lower portions that need to be corrected. Follow these steps: Pavement, Minimal shadows/reflections, neutral background. AFTER YOU CHECKOUT Once you've submitted your order, Car Show Life will complete a design proof and send via email for approval or revision. NOTHING GOES TO PRINT WITHOUT YOUR APPROVAL. Once approved it takes about 7-14 business days to print, cut, assemble and ship your order. Think of this more like building a custom car than ordering a part.
