WARRANTY VOIDED BY DAVE KINDIG
Elaine Smolnik of Brookfield, OH is proud of her son. When Stevie began working at a dealership in the late 90s she bought the first car he ever sold, a 1999 Mustang convertible. The swore she’d never sell this car. But after 20 years she was ready for a change. She told her son she was thinking about a new Camaro, but he had other ideas for his mother.
“He called me and said he found a car for me to look at. I told him, I’d be down to the dealership to see it but he insisted he would pick me up. He showed up in this Silver Corvette. I said, ‘Stevie l, that’s not a Camaro.’ But he knew it was the car for me.”
It took a little more convincing for Elaine to believe it. Stevie said, “let’s pull it into the garage.” After seeing how good it looked there, she was sold. It brought it to her on a Wednesday and she signed the paperwork on Friday.
Since then Elaine has shown the car and took advantage of the included complimentary membership in the Shenango Valley Corvette Club. “I’m about to turn 70, but I don’t feel 70 thanks to this car!”
In addition to the added jewelry of “hoop earrings", tow hooks to the rest of us, her husband got her a gift of Wheel Craft wheel refinishing for the stock C7 wheels. The Black Ice looks great against the silver finish.
Another add-on came courtesy of Dave Kindig of Kindigit Design and TV’s Bitchin Rides. She met Dave at a car show in Western PA and he signed a panel on her engine bay. “I just voided her warranty,” he shouted to onlookers.
