Ride Of The Week 10/12/2020: Don Egleston's 1957 Chevy Bel Air

Updated: Nov 17, 2020

“The Ultimate Hand-Me-Down”

Growing up, we’ve all received something from someone older in our family. Siblings, cousins, parents all bestow hand-me-down clothes, toys, tools, etc. For Don Egleston of Lock Haven, PA, his parents gave him every car guy/gal’s dream hand-me-down, a 1957 Chevy Bel Air!

Don’s parents bought the car new in 1957 and upon his 16th birthday, bestowed the blue-chip collectible to him. It was an easy decision, as Don was an only child. Over the years it’s undergone several refreshes. The car pictured here is still looking great after it’s last update in 1998 when it underwent a rotisserie restoration. One cool detail was the hideaway license plate and addition of a 3rd brake light where the original license plate light would have been.

How many of us wish we still had our first car or the one we took our driver's test in? Don's a lucky guy!

If you’d like your ride to be featured as a #carshowlife #rideoftheweek, send us your story and photos to info@carshowlife.net.
